Lewis led the deployment of a Windows Server environment including Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS), Windows Deployment Services (WDS), and Group Policy Objects (GPOs). He also implemented secure wireless networks for guests and internal staff, and used pfSense and other tools to carry out vulnerability testing of these environments.

Lewis carried out a comprehensive gap analysis against the UK Cyber Essentials scheme, while also referencing elements of other frameworks and best practices including the CIS Critical Security Controls and ISO/IEC 27001. He delivered a prioritised remediation plan, created a live risk register, updated multiple security policies and procedures, and supported our vendor engagement.

Lewis was early in his career at the time and made no attempt to conceal his learning status. What he may have lacked in deep experience, he more than made up for in commitment, adaptability, and work ethic. He responded well to feedback, managed expectations professionally, and demonstrated strong follow-through.

Lewis was responsible for designing and implementing the IT and security architecture required to support day-to-day operations, remote access, customer data protection, and our digital platform. He developed a cost-conscious technology roadmap, selected and configured cloud and on-premise solutions, and ensured alignment with basic information security and privacy expectations.

Although Lewis was at an early stage in his cybersecurity career, he brought a proactive mindset and exceptional work ethic. He was receptive to feedback and demonstrated strong perseverance in addressing technical challenges independently. His focus on usability, maintainability, and compliance helped us build a secure and scalable infrastructure from the outset.
